Order now to receive one set of numbers for each week, so you will receive 26 sets of "LUCKY NUMBERS" for 6 months or 52 sets of numbers for 12 months. Use each set of Lucky Numbers for the entire week. 

Important: All sets of Lucky Numbers are mailed to you at once. 

Winning numbers are drawn on a daily basis. 

Draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday after 
draw entry closes at 7:45 p.m.

HOW TO PLAY

Step 1: Find

Find a Daily 4 retailer close to home, work or your favorite coffee shop. With more than 21,000 California Lottery retail locations, a place to play is never too far away.

Step 2: Pick

Pick four lucky numbers from 0 to 9, marking one number per row on a Daily 4 playslip. Or, play randomly generated numbers with Quick Pick®.

Next pick your playstyle: Straight, Box or Straight/Box.

One playslip can hold up to five plays using your lucky numbers and you may play as many playslips as you like.

To play the same numbers and playstyle for consecutive draws, just mark Advance Play®.

Playstyle

Daily 4 has three different playstyles:

Straight - Your numbers must match the winning numbers in exactly the same order.

Box - Your numbers must match the winning numbers in ANY order.

Straight/Box - This is a combination of both the Straight and Box playstyles and your $1.00 play is split evenly between the two ways of winning.

If you match the winning numbers in exact order, you win approximately half the Straight prize plus approximately half the Box prize.

If you match the winning numbers in any other order, you win approximately half the Box prize only.

Advance Play

Advance Play allows you to play multiple draws with one purchase.

You can play the same numbers and playstyle for 1-7 or 14 consecutive draws on one playslip by marking the Advance Play box.

Note: Make sure to mark your numbers with either blue or black ink. And if you make a mistake, don’t erase. Just mark the VOID box.

Player’s Strategies

A shared prize pool means that less-played numbers have a better chance at bigger prizes.

For this reason, some players try to select less-played numbers with the hopes to split the prize pool with fewer people.

Remember, to win Daily 4 all of your numbers must match all of the winning numbers.

Each number is independent of the other three numbers. That means, if the winning numbers are 3-3-1-2, you must have a three, another three, a one, and a two in your chosen numbers to win.

Self-Service Ticket Machines

Play your favorite Lottery Draw Games and check tickets for winners with the touch of a finger.

Step 1: Pick

Pick the Lottery draw game you'd like to play.

Step 2: Insert

Insert $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00 bills. This machine does not give change so insert the exact amount you would like to play.

Step 3: Play

Play by entering your lucky numbers or selecting Quick Pick®. You can also select to play multiple sets of numbers for the current draw or Advanced Play® for future draws. When you're finished, you'll receive your ticket. Always remember to sign the back of it.

Step 4: Check

Check to see if you're a winner by scanning your ticket below the orange arrow on the front of the self-service ticket machine. Results will be displayed on the monitor.
